Did you feel it?
Tell everyone how strong.

Every pin is one person's report, rising where they felt it.

SHINDO's report screen after an M3.0 earthquake in Kumamoto: how strong was the shaking where you are, from 0 Didn't feel it to 5 Extreme, with a note field and Submit report.
The people's shake map

Instruments measure the ground. People know what it did to their room. After every earthquake SHINDO asks one question — how strong was it where you are? — and puts the answers on a live map, so the next person checking at 3 AM can see what their neighbours felt. Six steps anyone can judge, a short note if you want, and that's it. In English, Japanese or Spanish.

Six steps, in plain words

No seismology needed. Just what happened in your room.

SHINDO's felt scale describes what you noticed. JMA's seismic intensity (震度) comes from instruments. SHINDO shows both, each labelled for what it is.

Ten seconds

Three taps, while the floor is still settling.

  1. After any quake, one button. After an earthquake, SHINDO asks you straight away: report how strong it felt.
  2. Pick a step. Add a note if you want.Zero to five, and up to 100 characters: “Books fell”, “Elevator stopped”.
  3. Done.Your report joins the shake map. Guest readings stay anonymous.
Felt intensity

Every report lands somewhere. Together they draw the picture.

For each earthquake SHINDO counts what people felt, step by step, and shows it beside the epicentre — so you can see at a glance whether your neighbours barely noticed or grabbed the doorframe.

Books fell. Elevator stopped.

Confirm, don't repeat

Felt the same? One tap backs it up.

Every post carries two buttons: Confirm, if you felt the same shaking near that place, and Helpful, if the note told you something useful. So one person's report is easy to weigh against what everyone else felt. And every post has Report, for anything that breaks the rules.

In the app: Confirm what you felt and Helpful buttons under a report, with Report this post below. Read the community guidelines

Your location

Close enough to help. Never close enough to find you.

A report needs a place to be useful — but not your doorstep. SHINDO stores an approximate position, rounded to two decimal places of latitude and longitude, about a kilometre. Guest readings stay anonymous, and your name only appears if you post with an account.
